NoteLab can be downloaded directly from its home on sourceforge at sourceforge.net/projects/java-notelab.

Requirements

The only software required to run NoteLab is Java 5.  This can be downloaded from java.sun.com and is available for Linux, Solaris, Windows, and Mac OS X.  Only the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) is needed to run NoteLab.  However, the JDK (Java Development Kit) can also be used, as it includes the JRE with additional tools for developing Java based applications.

Installing NoteLab

The current version of NoteLab has a graphical installer that will guide you through the installation process.

NoteLab and Windows

Like all note taking applications designed for Windows operating systems, the "press and hold" feature of Windows reduces NoteLab's performance.  The document "NoteLab and Windows" describes how to remedy this problem.
